BEGINNERS DANCE CLASSES FOR BALLROOM AND LATIN

At Elaine’s Dancing School we run Classes for complete beginners and no previous experience is required.  We aim to help you become confident dancers and make new friends in a relaxed and informal way, whilst having fun.  The Ballroom Dances you will learn are the Waltz, Quickstep, Social Foxtrot, Tango.  The Latin Dances are Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive and Samba.  You will learn in an easy to remember format, with repetition, which is key to progressing to our Improver Classes.   Our Beginners Classes are for couples or single people.  Everyone is welcome and we do not change partners.  Your highly qualified experienced teachers will guide you through every step.

Dancing is rewarding, great for fitness, making friends and mental health.

Learning to dance is a rewarding hobby that you can do with your partner.  You may want to come to our social events, which gives you an opportunity to make friends and practise what you learn in our Dance Classes.  We do social dances in Gloucester or you can join us on one of our dancing holidays, there is something for everyone.

Making friends, keep the body and mind fit and active are just a few of the rewards you get from our Dance Classes. Complete Beginners to Next Levels, we can help you achieve your goals. If you want further information get in touch via our contact page.

Elaine knows how to break things down into easy stages and repeat until we are all getting it.  Added to that she has the perfect sense of humour.

Linda A.

The teachers are very, very patient and have a wealth of knowledge to teach us and we meet up with all the other dancers from their various classes at the social events.

Judith & Keith

Elaine and John‘s instructions are clear to follow, we try our best to get things right and sometimes we don’t however, we have learnt to laugh about this and carry on. Elaine and John are always on hand to encourage and support us where and when we need it.

Karen

Elaine and John are very attentive to individual couples’ needs to ensure steady progression and improvement.  Challenging – yes, fun – definitely, can anyone do it – most definitely!
