Covid-19 is the disease that develops from being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 [Coronavirus]. For some people the disease never develops. Some people have a mild illness but, for others they become seriously ill and need hospital treatment. A proportion of people will suffer long term effects and some will sadly lose their lives to this disease.
The SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus [Covid-19] is spread by droplets [as is Flu, the common cold and many other illnesses].Good hand and respiratory hygiene is for the safety of all of us. Please see the posters in this section of the website.
Whilst no activity is without risk at Elaine’s Dancing School we are following the latest government guidelines and have undertaken risk assessments to ensure as far as is reasonably practicable we can protect our dance students and ourselves from contracting this disease whilst dancing.
Elaine’s Dancing School will have sanitised door handles, light switches, toilet areas, tables and chairs prior to each session. Please use the sanitiser on entry and exit from the dance hall.
There will be a strict policy of social distancing in the dance hall we are currently setting this at 2 metres [please keep to your taped area] if occasionally due to the nature of dance we dip below this to 1.5 metres that is still within government guidelines.
We recognise that we are a very social group but, we respectfully ask that you go to your designated seats without entering any other dancers space and leave promptly at the end of your session for everyone’s safety.
A full copy of our Covid-19 Risk Assessment is available on request. Please email us if you wish to see this. Also please check links below.
